Our First Purchase...

Tonight, we made our first purchase for the Baby.

Eric and I have always wanted to decorate the baby's room with alphabet letters. A couple of weeks ago, at Indigo, I saw these giant "flashcard" type of cards that were really colorful and fun. I did not want to buy them then though, because I thought that it was a decision we should make together.

We had a date-night tonight, and after dinner, we walked over to Indigo. I showed Eric the cards and he liked them too. As an added bonus - they were 50% off!

One month into the process...

It is hard to believe that it has been just over one month since we officially decided to adopt from the Philippines. In some ways, it seems like we have beeen filling out paperwork forever and a day, and in others, it seems like it was only yesterday.

We have completed the paperwork for the DPJ (youth protection). They are now checking our references.

Once the references are received by the DPJ, they will contact us to schedule the Home Study and Psycho-Social Evaluations.

We have almost completed the paperwork for the Agency (Formons une Famille), but it will only be truly complete when the Home Study and Psycho-Social Evaluations are complete.

It still doesn't seem real...
