We received an email from our agency on October 1, 2010 about the possibility of our wait time passing the projected 18-24 months. Although there has been no official word from ICAB, our agency has quite a few families who have passed the 24 month mark, or who are about to do so (like us). They informed us that we should be prepared to wait for another 6 months or so!
It was really hard to hear, and we had a hard time digesting the news, we thought that our wait was almost over... We took the time to grieve, and to digest the news. We're still hopeful that we'll get the call soon...but we're also starting to wrap our minds around the fact that we may not be parents for another year. It is difficult, but we know that there is a reason for everything.
23 months...three weeks...three days...and counting...

Oh Tam, I'm sorry to hear that. That really stinks. I don't get what the hold up is. Know that I'm praying and thinking of you (and Renee) often and hoping that this week will be the week. Big hugs!
I sooo much understand your feeling Tammy!! It's so hard... I can't wait to anymore. I really hope that a lot of parents will have the call soon before christmas... I'm praying for you!!!

Hey Tammy, I totally agree with you that this waiting games stinks! I thought that we'd have our child home for sure by this Christmas and now it looks like we won't even have a referral by Christmas. I can feel your pain. I'm hoping and praying every day and night that we are both matched very, very soon. We've got to be nearing the end soon, right????
Boo!!!! Will keep praying that God trumps all of those yucky waiting statistics and you get the call any day now! Keep your head up Tammy...
