Shared Joy...

Tonight (or rather, this morning!) I am thankful for friends!

I had a get-together tonight with two special friends and it was so fun to talk a little about our adoption and to have them share our joy!

Thanks for your support and encouragement!! It means a lot...it is fun to dream of the day we'll pick up our Little One! It is also fun to hear others talk of their excitement about our adoption! I feel so blessed to know that our Little One is loved and highly anticipated, by our families and friends!

We can't wait to meet you, Little One!

It is fun to dream about the day when you finally meet your child. I find that I am always wondering where I'll be or what I'll be doing when I finally get a call that we have a referral. I imagine that it will be very hard to return to work once you know there is a child out there just for you. It is very exciting, isn't it!!

You are so right...our family and friends were such an awesome support throughout the waiting. When we returned from the Philippines with Jay-R and went to church for the first time, someone made the comment that "We (the church) have been waiting 2 years for this day!" Adoption is such an emotional journey but it is so awesome to be able to share it with others who will one day play an important role in the life of your Little One!

Having great family & friend support is the best! Oh, and don't forget about us "online friends". We are here for each other too. :) It is funny, sometimes I will be talking to my husband about some of the things that online bloggy friends have written about and my husband will have to stop me mid-story and ask who I am talking about. I talk about so many of you as if I have met you and we live next door. Ha!

Thanks for you comment on our blog :). I just wanted to drop by and say hello and that I hope your wait for a referral won't be very long. I enjoy reading about other families' experience and can't wait to read about the day when you get news of your Little One...
